About The Position

This position involves driving a tractor/trailer truck for local regional deliveries (up to a 275-mile radius) of finished products or raw materials/supplies to company distribution and manufacturing centers. The driver will also work in the warehouse when not driving. The role requires obtaining proper authorization for all transports/pick-ups, inspecting the vehicle for safe operating conditions before and after each trip, and maintaining a DOT driver's log in adherence to all DOT regulations. The job involves working with tractor/trailer components, including bending and cranking landing gear, climbing in and out of cabs, and sitting for extended periods. This is a no-touch freight position, and the driver will be home daily. The primary accountabilities include delivering finished products or raw materials, ensuring the safety and compliance of the load, maintaining DOT driver logs and other required transport documentation, and ensuring regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Pre and post-trip inspections are also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL license with doubles endorsement.
  • 21 years or older.
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test.
  • Valid U.S. CDL License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status.
  • Valid Class A CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (with HazMat/Double and Tanker endorsements).
  • At least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours.
  • Follow DOT Regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL Class A license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear, or backing into docks and confined spaces, etc.).
  • Hauling consumer products and perishable consumer goods (e.g., transporting unstable loads or hauling different weights on different trip segments, etc.).
  • Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (e.g., highway driving, side/local roads, city/country, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Drive a tractor/trailer truck to make PES Field location equipment transport.
  • Obtain proper authorization for all transports/pick-ups.
  • Inspect vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each trip.
  • Maintain a DOT driver's log and adhere to all DOT regulations.
  • Work tractor/trailer components, including bending and cranking landing gear, climbing in and out of cabs, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Make local regional deliveries (up to 275 mile radius) of predominantly finished products or raw materials/supplies to company distribution and manufacturing centers.
  • Deliver finished products or raw materials to assigned destination.
  • Ensure safety and compliance of load.
  • Maintain DOT driver log and other required transport documentation.
  • Ensure regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Perform Pre/Post Inspections.
  • Work in the warehouse when not driving.
