About The Position

The Transport Driver Level IV is responsible for inspecting trucks and trailers before dispatch, ensuring all equipment meets operating and safety requirements. This role involves loading, hauling, and unloading machines at customer job sites or Ring Power facilities. The driver must maintain the appearance of the equipment, notify the Dispatcher of any problems, and keep up-to-date with all state and federal laws, including Department of Transportation regulations. A key part of the role is maintaining an accurate log book and ensuring all required documents are available for each haul. The driver will also check for customer abuse of equipment, note any damages, and inform the Dispatcher. Maintaining a good relationship with customers is also a primary responsibility. This position performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Formal Education High School diploma or GED
  • 3-4 years experience
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of class 7 & 8 driving required.
  • Must possess a clean and valid Class A Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 - 5 years of equipment transport experience required.
  • Updating of Knowledge Job requirements change requiring re-training to stay current every 1-2 years.
  • Problem Solving Job requires problem solving ability, established examples / guidance are not always available
  • Creativity Job requires some creativity to generate solutions or improve effectiveness within well-established boundaries.
  • Autonomy Job is not normally monitored, but overall objectives are clearly defined. Use of discretion in how the work is done, setting priorities and decision making is encouraged. More emphasis is placed on achieving the desired outcome, not on controlling the process.

Responsibilities
