About The Position

Central Valley Ag is seeking a Transport Driver with a Class A CDL to serve local agriculture in Belleville, KS. This role involves utilizing a Class A CDL to transport various agricultural products, including grain, dry and liquid fertilizer, and NH3, throughout the region. The driver will act as a key representative of the company, fostering trusted relationships with customers and coworkers. The position offers opportunities to build valuable skills in time management, logistics, communication, and leadership, and emphasizes safety and integrity. This position qualifies for a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

  • Class A Commercial Drivers License
  • High school or GED diploma
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
  • Great understanding of the trucking industry in the CVA trade area

Responsibilities

  • Drives semi hauling various products.
  • Hauls feed ingredients from processor to feed mills.
  • Hauls grain from location to location.
  • Hauls dry fertilizer to locations.
  • Hauls grain from farm to terminal.
  • Maintains documentation as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains electronic log book as required.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of semi.
  • Completes daily & weekly reports in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Operates semi in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Assists in loading and unloading truck.
  • Maintains appearance of tractor/trailer.
  • Provides excellent customer service and customer relations.
  • Listens to service complaints and notifies supervisor of those complaints.
  • Maintains clean and customer friendly work environment.
  • Assists other divisions and locations as needed.
  • Follows all trailer cleanout procedures for the Food Safety Modernization Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
