Requirements

  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • A US Citizen or Alien lawfully authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass Identification Verification, State & Federal background checks
  • Valid Driver’s License with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 5 years or no major violations (major violations can be discussed during interview process)
  • Ability to meet and maintain applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), administrative, customer service and organizational skills
  • Must successfully complete GSSC Basic Training
  • Must be able to complete additional training courses including but not limited to, Defensive tactics, Handcuffing, Use of Force, and on-site GSSC Training and Anoka County Mandated training as it relates to the position.
  • Computer skills must be proficient with basic Microsoft applications as well i.e. word, excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
  • Ability to project a professional and positive attitude while maintaining confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the mobile patrol security, law enforcement, corrections, or military fields

Responsibilities

  • Observes and reports activities and incidents while performing transport or monitoring personnel services, providing for the security and safety clients and its property.
  • Vehicle transports of juvenile individuals between multiple different sites and destinations including court, appointments, judicial designation or assignment.
  • Operating County owned vehicles with safety and security objectives.
  • Escorting individuals to and from designated locations as determined by the county and the juvenile court systems.
  • Responds to client inquiries in an expeditious manner.
  • Reacts appropriately, promptly and in accordance with Post Orders in emergency situations.
  • Generates clear and concise written reports of shift activities, mileage, drop off/pick up times and locations, overall subject behavior.
  • Creates a positive working environment and strong teamwork.
  • Ensures compliance with all GSSC policies and procedures, federal regulations, state statutes, and specifications per client contracts.
  • Interacts professionally and engages with client personnel, vendors, contractors and members of the public.
  • Provides excellent customer service
