About The Position

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona seeks a highly qualified Transplant Hepatologist to join our expanding practice in a multidisciplinary program incorporating hepatology and liver transplantation. Candidates must be board-certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, board-certified/board-eligible in Transplant Hepatology and have an interest in clinical service, research and education. The Mayo Clinic in Arizona is a national leader in liver transplantation, with top volumes and outcomes as assessed by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR). We performed 308 liver transplants in 2025. The Transplant Center at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is known for leadership in cutting edge transplant research, multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, post-graduate education, with innovative and compassionate approaches to patient care. The successful candidate will have completed training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology with further specific training in Transplant Hepatology. Research engagement in diverse areas is also highly sought after: including but not limited to utilization of artificial intelligence or big data, equitable care, and transplant immunology. Educational engagement includes teaching and mentoring of all levels of medical learners. Unique opportunities exist to grow clinical medicine and research utilizing the Mayo Clinic Model of Care and to practice in one of the largest and most successful liver transplant programs nationwide.

Requirements

  • Board-certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
  • Board-certified/board-eligible in Transplant Hepatology
  • Eligible/able to obtain Arizona state medical license
