About The Position

The Clinical Transplant Coordinator coordinates clinical aspects of organ transplantation for transplant recipients, including evaluation, work-up, and pre-transplant and/or post-transplant medical and surgical care. The coordinator participates in program development and serves as a liaison to referring physicians and dialysis centers. The role includes educational, administrative, and technical tasks related to clinical transplantation, as well as maintaining written and computerized records and providing information needed for complete patient care. The coordinator participates in 24-hour on-call coverage from home.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing; applicants without a BSN must actively pursue and attain one within five years of hire, and continued employment beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the degree. Swedish RNs employed before December 1, 2012 are encouraged to pursue a BSN, but it is not a condition of employment.
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• Experience with or willingness to master use of the transplant database.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator upon hire; those without certification must actively pursue and attain it within two years of hire.
• Two years of experience in organ transplantation or critical care nursing.
