Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a Water/Wastewater Transmissions and Utilities Project Manager in our Fort Worth, Texas office. As a Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Project Manager, you will manage projects through the study, design, and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large diameter pipelines, and utility work. You will serve as the primary client contact, advising and informing them regarding project status and schedule. You will also communicate with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and partner firms whose work or services are related to the project, and communicate relevant information to the community or technical groups with interests related to the project. You will perform and direct complex studies and investigations and prepare reports of findings. You will select equipment and materials for projects and/or approve manufacturer’s shop drawings of these items. You will coordinate phases of the work to ensure completion within the established time and budgetary constraints. You will advise the Construction Manager of questions or problems that arise during construction. You will direct assignments, schedule work, and provide technical oversight for project staff, including engineers, technicians, designers, drafters, and field representatives. You will review progress to provide continuity, conformity, and quality, and check calculations of others and seal drawings and reports. You will maintain and expand technical capabilities to ensure that projects utilize state-of-the-art technology.
