About The Position

GAI is seeking a Transmission Senior Project Engineer 2 to join our Power Delivery team. This individual will be responsible for technical leadership and the successful delivery of transmission line designs while maintaining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects within GAI’s Transmission & Distribution Division. The ideal candidate is technically focused, a strong leader with developed technical, communication, and computer skills, and possesses a strong knowledge of electric utility transmission line engineering and design.

Design and Analysis of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower

Responsibilities

Complete day-to-day project tasks as required for successful project delivery.
Preparation of Specification Packages
Preparation of Structural and Fabrication Drawings
Design and Analysis of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower is a bonus
Design and Analysis of foundations.
Analysis of existing and proposed structures with regard to Client and Other required codes, standards, and specifications.
Performance of Electrical Clearance checks and calculations.
Apply engineering principles to assist in the design of Power Delivery Projects.
Implement effective engineering methods, provide technical guidance, and act as a resource for engineers and designers.
Directly manage projects with no limit to the number or value of individual projects managed.
Assist in quality control and quality assurance of active projects, providing peer and final reviews and training of engineers and designers in quality control processes.
Uses creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to anticipate and solve new problems.
Sets priorities and reconciles directions from competing interests.
Leads projects with complex features with work performed directly, or by others.
Integrates engineering economics and risk analysis into the solutions of complex engineering problems.
