Responsible for providing assistance in developing and maintaining all right-of-way (ROW) records dealing with the acquisition of land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other documents necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric transmission and/or distribution lines. This role involves maintaining property owner files, maps, drawings, exhibits, and progress reports. The specialist will administer applicable ROW applications and document systems, support ROW Agents in maintaining the encroachment database, and research property ownership and easements using TDAACS and TROWDS. They will also assist in searching courthouse and other records to determine present property ownerships and interests, and respond to customer inquiries relating to AEP easements and other landowner-related documents. Processing payment of invoices through the Company's accounting and recordkeeping systems, and supporting ROW Agents in drafting various legal documents are key functions. Additionally, the role provides functional support to other AEP business units regarding land and land rights acquisition procedures, maintains lease payments in TROWDS, processes lease payments, and provides information for monthly reports and annual lease budgets. The specialist will also assist in preparing and maintaining a procedure manual, prepare and issue monthly project status reports, and assist ROW Agents in the settlement of damage claims and negotiations with landowners.
