The Transmission Regulatory Affairs Specialist Staff plays a pivotal role in managing and delivering high stakes, federal and state-regulated utility filings before FERC and state public utility commissions. This position combines deep regulatory know how with strong project leadership to guide cross functional teams through complex, deadline-driven proceedings that support cost recovery and earnings realization for AEP’s transmission business. This is a senior individual contributor role (not a people manager) that leads work through influence and project governance. The Transmission Regulatory Affairs Specialist Staff coordinates filing strategy, schedules, testimony development, discovery responses, and compliance with federal and state filing requirements while partnering closely with operating company leadership, legal counsel, finance, operations, and other internal stakeholders. Success requires excellent judgment, communication, and the ability to translate complex regulatory, financial, and operational information into clear, persuasive filings and stakeholder-ready messaging—aligned with AEP’s Core Principle of Regulatory Integrity.
