About The Position

Growing full service firm looking to add a talented Transmission Line QA/QC Engineer to their Pittsburgh office! This role involves overseeing design reviews, ensuring the accuracy and safety of high voltage transmission line designs, establishing quality standards, developing quality control procedures, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will champion QA/QC processes and collaborate with project managers to align quality goals with project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering or engineering technology
• 5+ years of transmission engineering experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Proficient in PLS CADD
• Expert in the analysis of transmission structures
• Ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations
• Ability to optimize complex systems and workflows
• Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Oversee design reviews/validation procedures
• Ensure accuracy and safety of the design of high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD
• Establish quality standards aligned with industry best practices
• Develop/implement quality control procedures
• Mentor/train junior staff with varying levels of experience
• Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outputs
• Communicate with project managers to align quality goals with schedule/budget
