About The Position
Shape the Future of Energy Systems – Join WSP’s Overhead Transmission Lines team in Toronto and help design medium to extra-high voltage transmission lines, structures, and foundations that keep communities connected and powered. Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related discipline.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Strong interest in consulting engineering and the power delivery industry.
- Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD or other design/analysis software.
- Previous engineering design or drafting experience, ideally in civil or electrical engineering.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Legally authorized to work permanently in Canada without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of transmission line projects, studies, and initiatives across Canada and the US.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for power delivery systems.
- Prepare technical drawings, models, reports, and calculations that influence project decisions.
- Apply engineering principles to real-world challenges in energy infrastructure and sustainability.
- Contribute to project reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and WSP quality expectations.
