About The Position

Cando Rail & Terminals is hiring a Railcar Loader / Transload Operator to help move products across the rail network. This active, hands-on role works with a team to load and unload railcars, operate equipment, and support daily rail operations. Industrial or hazardous materials experience is a plus but is not required; mechanically minded, dependable candidates who are ready to learn are encouraged to apply. The position is safety-sensitive and duties may vary based on operational needs. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime, weekend or holiday work, and occasional travel may be needed based on operational needs. The role involves outdoor work in all weather conditions, climbing, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Pay is $24–$26 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Mechanical aptitude and strong teamwork skills.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to climb, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to meet customer and regulatory safety requirements, including background screening.

Responsibilities

Safely load and unload railcars and transfer products.
Operate pumps, compressors, conveyors, transloading equipment, and mobile equipment.
Inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs.
Complete operating logs and safety documentation.
Follow company, customer, and regulatory safety procedures.
Promptly report safety concerns and equipment issues.
Support switching crews and other site operations as needed.
