About The Position

KLN Family Brands is seeking a Mid Shift Translator to facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking staff. This role is crucial for assisting managers, supervisors, trainers, quality control personnel, and operators in the effective communication and training of Spanish-speaking employees. The translator will ensure all employees have the opportunity for clear communication and will act as a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking workers' questions. The position involves working directly with Spanish-speaking staff daily, educating them on procedures and policies, and reporting their progress to the Production Supervisor. The translator will also assist in conducting required trainings, scheduling supplemental training, and participating in translator meetings. Additionally, the role includes assisting with or performing group meetings in Spanish that cover topics discussed in English meetings.

Requirements

Attend safety trainings
Follow all safety instructions
Report any injuries or near miss accidents to supervisor
Report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor
Wear required PPE, including hearing protection and slip resistant shoes where necessary
Make safety recommendations to any Safety Committee Member.

Responsibilities

Ensure all employees are given the opportunity to give and receive good communication with others.
Act as the go-to person if the Spanish-speaking worker has any questions.
Assist Production Supervisor in providing Spanish-speaking employees with job descriptions, training checklists, and any other work aids needed during the training process.
Work with the Spanish-speaking staff each and every day.
Follow the designated training checklist forms while teaching and educating Spanish-speaking employees on procedures and policies that affect both the employee and the product.
Report the progress of the Spanish-speaking employee to the Production Supervisor and work directly with the employee on any and all areas of concern.
Work with Production Supervisor in training all required trainings in IFS.
Assist Production Supervisor in getting employee any supplemental trainings scheduled (Forklift, Scissor Lift, Electric Pallet Jack etc.).
Attend any Translator meetings scheduled for updates on training, procedures, and policies.
Assist/Perform group meetings in Spanish to cover items discussed in English meeting.
