SUU's Community & Workforce Development (CWD) is a dynamic and entrepreneurial department within the Workforce & Educational Opportunity Office. Through its professional development program, CWD offers a wide variety of industry-informed, skills-based courses and certificate programs, professional conferences and workshops, and non-credit-to-credit pathways for engaging adult and working learners with SUU. These offerings are focused on upskilling the workforce, responding to the needs of local employers, growing businesses and economic development opportunities, and elevating careers through ongoing learning opportunities. Additionally, CWD manages the SUU Leadership Institute and delivers leadership training to local, state, and national audiences. The Transition & Pathways Coordinator advises and recruits adult and working learners into workforce education programs, connects learners to career pathways through employer and industry engagement, and supports their transition into SUU degree and credential opportunities. This position is central to CWD's efforts to grow continuing education headcount and increase conversion of adult and working learners into SUU academic programs.
