About The Position

DMI is seeking a strategic, results-driven Transition Manager to lead high-visibility program transition initiatives supporting secure, mission-critical federal operations in the Washington, DC metro area. This is a rare opportunity to lead complex transition efforts at the center of federal decision-making. As Transition Manager, you will be the architect of operational continuity during critical program transitions. Your leadership will ensure seamless service delivery, safeguard client operations, and position DMI for long-term program excellence. This is a leadership role with direct exposure to senior program management and federal clients. You will own and execute all transition-in planning and mobilization activities, ensuring zero service disruption and full operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience managing IT transitions or operational start-ups
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transitions in secure or regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder communication, risk management, and executive reporting skills
  • Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive 30/60/90-day transition plan
  • Coordinate asset inventory, staff onboarding, and data migration activities
  • Lead structured knowledge capture and transfer from incumbent teams
  • Support ITSM tool migration and integration with DMI’s MyServe platform
  • Identify, track, and mitigate transition risks
  • Provide executive-level status reporting to the Program Manager and client
