The Transition Assistant Teacher plays a key role in helping young adults with intellectual, developmental, and autism spectrum disabilities develop the skills necessary for employment, independent living, and meaningful community participation. Working closely with the Director of Transition Services, this individual provides direct instruction, coordinates vocational training experiences, supervises community-based employment opportunities, and supports participants in achieving their individualized goals. This position combines the responsibilities of an educator, employment specialist, mentor, and job coach within Aspire's innovative, community-based model.
