About The Position

AMR All-transit in Arverne is hiring Access-A-Ride drivers and offers eligible candidates a paid, three-day CDL preparation course. Employees earn $18.00 per hour while attending the course, which provides information and training to prepare them for the New York State CDL test. After completing the course and passing the exam, employees begin new-hire orientation and complete a road test. Once the road test is complete, they are assigned full-time shifts. The position involves transporting disabled passengers and providing attentive, high-quality service. The listed full-time schedule is afternoon shifts from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, and weekend work is required. The position is based in Arverne only. Requirements

• Valid New York State driver's license.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Transport disabled passengers to and from their locations.
