About The Position

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated capability in the design management of Transit and Transportation infrastructure projects to join their team in Toronto. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting transportation infrastructure projects in the region, including transit, rail, and bus sectors. The role involves contributing to the Mott MacDonald team through thoughtful delivery of planning and design deliverables, collaboration with and sharing knowledge with developing and junior staff, and upholding Mott MacDonald's commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
  • Registered with PEO and in good standing (or the ability to obtain a P.Eng designation in Ontario within 12 months)
  • At least 7 years of industry experience in the transit, transportation buildings, or other transportation sector contributing to urban mobility
  • Experience delivering design of transit, rail, or aviation projects, or elements thereof
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design efforts for transit, rail or urban mobility projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry procurement models
  • Familiar with relevant industry standards and design criteria
  • Well-developed written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients
  • Incorporates health, safety and wellbeing in all that you do
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, and working with technical and management groups in the delivery of a range of transit and transportation projects
  • Collaborating with teams of engineers and technicians to establish and complete project deliverables on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
  • Coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to develop project goals and deliver on objectives
  • Supporting the development of proposal responses
  • Maintaining industry knowledge of current standards and procedures
  • Acting as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing our brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externally
