About The Position

MGT is seeking an Transformation Specialist for the MGT School Turnaround team in Hillsborough County, Florida. The candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of school systems and in particular building level management of all aspects of education. This person will lead and coach school the principal and leadership team for identified client (school) in a multi-year project. They will also have extensive understanding of public school systems and in particular, building level management of all aspects of education.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Doctorate in Education Leadership, Curriculum or Supervision or related field within education
  • Five (5) or more years of Administrator/district level experience in School Transformation and Turnaround
  • Extensive understanding of Florida DOE system
  • Ability to disaggregate and use data to inform decisions and for reporting purposes
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and facilitate consensus and support among teams
  • Deep understanding of Florida instructional standards and instructional practices
  • Deep understanding of School Transformation effective practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 4-5 days a week to client and/or school-sites within Hillsborough County, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Transformation Specialist in planning, coordinating, and executing core transformation efforts.
  • Lead instructional support efforts across assigned schools, ensuring high-quality instructional practices aligned to Florida standards.
  • Lead and coach school principal and leadership team for identified schools to significantly increase student achievement outcomes
  • Lead the onsite MGT team at assigned schools including scheduling, reporting and coaching
  • Model leadership and pedagogy best practices to school and MGT team
  • Provide cross-content oversight and support to MGT instructional coaches to ensure alignment of coaching practices, instructional priorities, and school improvement goals across ELA, math, science, and other assigned areas.
  • Navigate complex school partnerships by building trust, addressing resistance, facilitating candid conversations, and strengthening alignment between school leadership, teachers, coaches, and the MGT team.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to assigned MGT coaches to strengthen instructional coaching practices, relationship-building, planning support, and responsiveness to school needs.
  • Analyze school performance data and develop clear narratives that communicate progress, challenges, coach impact, and recommended next steps for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create the coordination of Coordinated Support Plans
  • Complete weekly and monthly reporting involving tracking and analyzing data
  • Lead development and execution of school achievement plan
  • Analyze multiple data sources (achievement, walkthroughs, coaching, systems) to identify trends and develop next steps to address performance gaps.
  • Provide leadership to school-based teams and MGT school teams on monthly data monitoring
  • Accurately monitor days of service to the client, and ensure timely completion of weekly and monthly documentation of impact and outcomes.
  • Develop client relationships
  • Ensure all aspects of contract are delivered at the school level
  • Interface with district personnel as necessary
  • Contribute to the continuing development of products and processes to support the work
