Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and two (2) years professional experience in higher education, student/academic affairs, advising or closely related area; or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • A Master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates recruitment, outreach activities, and transfer programs for TSC2 students, including events and engagement opportunities for prospective students and families.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Transfer Services and university partners to develop meaningful experiences that support student retention, completion, and a seamless transfer process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current transfer students, providing timely and relevant information to enhance the student experience.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to create high-quality programming and partnership opportunities.
  • Supports the development of visitor and recruitment initiatives.
  • Provide comprehensive academic advising to transfer students, including FSU Next, Aspire, Elite, Ignite and other transfer pathways, through individual appointments, group advising sessions, and ongoing outreach.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned program areas, Aspire and Ignite, including student advising, engagement, tracking and program support.
  • Develop individualized academic plans, maintain consistent communication with students, and track progress to support retention and successful transfer outcomes.
  • Manage and support the FSU Next program, including student advising, registration assistance, cohort tracking, and continued advising for students who do not transition after the fall semester.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of new student orientation, as well as Aspire and Ignite events and information sessions, ensuring transfer students and families are informed and prepared for the college experience.
  • Conduct campus tours and meet with prospective students and families to effectively communicate the benefits and opportunities available at TSC, including opportunities within the Aspire and Ignite programs.
  • Actively recruit prospective students by managing and converting leads, conducting outreach, and participating in recruitment events, advising days, and Aspire and Ignite specific recruitment initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support transfer-focused events, including transfer fairs, university partner visits, and shared experiences aligned with Aspire and Ignite pathways.
  • Collaborate with university partners to support Aspire and Ignite partnerships, helping students understand transfer expectations, admissions requirements, and how to utilize university transfer services.
  • Contribute to the college’s social media strategy by creating, designing, and implementing engaging content for official TSC and MY TSC platforms.
  • Support the development and engagement of the Transfer Student Organization.
  • Maintain accurate records, track student data, and utilize systems to monitor engagement and success metrics.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the Office of Transfer Services.
