Transfer Station Spotter
About The Position
Rogue Disposal and Recycling Transfer Station is seeking a Transfer Station Spotter/Utility position. This role is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto the site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. It is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements. The position involves yard and facility maintenance, including debris cleanup, picking up litter and windblown trash, general site cleanup, and various utility tasks as needed. Specific duties can change daily based on operational needs. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with flexible hours of 40-50 per week. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, background checks, and physical capacity assessments.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position
- Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
- Ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift
- Must pass pre-employment examinations including: Drug screen, Background check, Physical capacity
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating equipment is a plus
- Mechanical ability a plus
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus
