About The Position

Les' Sanitary is seeking a Transfer Station Laborer in Coos Bay, OR. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements. The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with Clean driving record.
  • Pass Criminal Background Check, Drug panel Screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.
  • At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift.
  • The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating equipment is a plus.
  • Mechanical ability a plus.
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Pressure washing carts and garbage trucks.
  • Site cleanup/ litter pick-up.
  • Helping and interacting with customers.
  • Manual labor including landscaping/ weed eating.
  • Greet and direct customers upon entry to transfer station.
  • Calculate payments for customers.
  • Input weight information into system for customer payments.
  • Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
  • Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Various other utility tasks as needed.
  • Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.
