About The Position

Les' Sanitary is seeking a Transfer Station Laborer in Coos Bay, OR. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements. The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with Clean driving record.
Pass Criminal Background Check, Drug panel Screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.
At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift.
The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating equipment is a plus.
Mechanical ability a plus.
Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.

Responsibilities

Directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment.
Pressure washing carts and garbage trucks.
Site cleanup/ litter pick-up.
Helping and interacting with customers.
Manual labor including landscaping/ weed eating.
Greet and direct customers upon entry to transfer station.
Calculate payments for customers.
Input weight information into system for customer payments.
Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Various other utility tasks as needed.
Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.
