About The Position

Mammoth Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Transfer Station/BuyBack Center Attendant to work out of our facilities located in Mammoth Lakes, CA! This is a great opportunity for full time, year round work! In this position you will be working very independently. You will be interacting with the public, doing cash-handling and computer work, and handling labor-intensive tasks on-site. Must have excellent customer service, as well as the ability to stand and do physically demanding work throughout an 8 hour shift.

Requirements

Customer service skills and a great attitude
Cash handling experience
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand throughout an 8 hour shift
Ability to lift up to 50lbs pounds
Ability to work in all weather conditions

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate forklift and bobcat

Responsibilities

Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry to the center
Supporting the buyback center with weighing, payments and sorting
Calculating payments for customers
Enter truck, car information into computer system
Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Data entry and answering phones as needed
Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
Cleaning, sweeping and pressure washing equipment
Providing general upkeep of the Scale House
Heavy lifting of equipment and material
Learn to operate forklift and bobcat
