Transfer Site Laborer
About The Position
Waste Connections is hiring dependable, safety-focused Transfer Site Laborers for our Groveland Transfer Site. This role involves directing truck traffic, performing general labor tasks such as litter pickup and site cleanup, maintaining grounds, installing temporary wind fencing, supporting basic facility maintenance, promoting a safe work environment, and interacting with customers and team members to ensure safe, clean operations. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- 1+ year of stable work experience in a labor-intensive or outdoor role
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic
- Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-driven
Responsibilities
- Direct truck traffic entering and exiting the transfer site
- Perform general labor tasks including litter pickup and site cleanup
- Maintain grounds (weed cutting, yard work, etc.)
- Install temporary wind fencing and assist with site safety measures
- Support basic facility maintenance (painting, janitorial tasks)
- Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Interact with customers and team members to ensure safe, clean operations
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
