Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, supply chain, transportation coordination, distribution, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, data analysis, and tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, logistics, and warehouse personnel.
  • Strong follow-through and accountability in managing transfer activity from initiation through completion.
  • Ability to identify and proactively resolve issues affecting transfer execution and inventory availability.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience within the beverage, beer, wine, spirits, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or distribution industry preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, inventory management, warehouse management, or transportation management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, coordinate, track, report, and communicate all inter-facility inventory transfers across beer, beverage, wine, and spirits operations.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between Procurement, Facility Directors, Operations Management, Warehouse Operations, and Routing/Logistics teams to ensure transfers are executed accurately, efficiently, and within service levels.
  • Maintain daily visibility into all transfer activity, provide detailed reporting and status updates, monitor transfer aging, and ensure timely communication of completed transfers.
  • Play a critical role in maintaining inventory availability, supporting customer service objectives, and optimizing inventory flow across multiple distribution facilities.
  • Coordinate and oversee all inventory transfers initiated by Facility Directors and the Procurement Department.
  • Review transfer requests for accuracy, completeness, and operational feasibility.
  • Coordinate all transfers with the Operations Manager for Tractor Trailer Drivers.
  • Monitor transfer activity from initiation through completion across all company facilities.
  • Ensure transfer requests are processed in accordance with company procedures and established timelines.
  • Act as the primary liaison between facilities to facilitate timely movement of inventory.
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily transfer tracking report for all open and completed transfers.
  • Monitor transfer status, shipment progress, receipt confirmations, and completion dates.
  • Track and report transfer aging, identifying delays, bottlenecks, and exceptions requiring escalation.
  • Provide daily transfer summaries and detailed status reports to Facility Directors, Operations Management, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain reporting metrics related to transfer volume, completion rates, aging, and service performance.
  • Utilize the daily Days of Inventory (DOI) Report to align with facilities and the sales team on specific needs and movement of products.
  • Communicate daily transfer updates to each facility and Operations Management.
  • Provide regular status updates on pending, in-transit, and completed transfers.
  • Notify stakeholders of transfer delays, inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, or operational issues.
  • Send completion notifications and maintain documentation confirming transfer closure.
  • Facilitate communication between warehouse, transportation, procurement, and operations teams to resolve transfer-related issues.
  • Partner closely with Operations Managers to prioritize and manage transfer activity.
  • Work with Routing and Logistics teams to schedule, track, and optimize transfer movements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management and union warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure efficient execution of transfer plans.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to support inventory balancing, replenishment strategies, and product availability.
  • Support both beer and beverage operations as well as the company's wine and spirits business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve transfer processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transfer activity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist management with special projects, audits, inventory initiatives, and operational analysis related to transfers.
