About The Position

Sentara is hiring a RN Transfer Center Bedflow Coordinator for the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center. This position is part time (24 hours per week), night shift Transfer Coordinators assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates transfers for patient flow throughout the system network. Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfers. Coordinates and communicates capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership team and physicians. Possesses clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to meet standards of care required by the patient population. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude towards all professional contacts.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse
• Experience working in ICU, ED or Transfer Center
• Recent Acute Care
• Must poses the following skills: Ability to multitask, type with reasonable speed and take accurate notes.
