Serve as a central communication source for all components of the patient transfer and consultation process, including direct ED/Inpatient admissions and Critical Care Transport. Responsible for the facilitation of communication with specialty providers, medical control, transport team and patient placement. Acts as a resource to community and hospital based providers. Demonstrates effective communication skills, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to follow clinical practice guidelines. Onsite - Milwaukee main campus Office/Call Center setting Full time - 0.9 FTE Nights - 12 hr shifts Weekend rotation Experience: 3+ years of patient care experience as an RN required or 3+ years of Transport experience as an RCP required Previous critical care, emergency room, or transport experience as a nurse preferred Epic ASAP and Epic Rover experience preferred Familiarity with Call Center software preferred Pediatric experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently, utilize time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills needed in a fast paced department. Knowledge of a variety of pediatric healthcare specialties, including level of care, symptom identification critical thinking and decision making to appropriately triage and manage consult and transport requests. Basic knowledge of a computer including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, web browsing, document access and electronic health record.
