About The Position

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres (previously C-health) is looking for a Transcriptionist who ensures that dictated medical reports are clear, complete, and clinically accurate. Working closely with physicians and healthcare professionals, this role focuses on editing, verifying terminology, formatting, and entering finalized reports into the EMR. The successful candidate will help maintain documentation standards that support patient safety, continuity of care, and organizational compliance. Requirements

0-2 years of related experience in medical transcription.
Current CPR certificate and AED, an asset.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
A cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as the ability to work independently and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.

Responsibilities

Review and edit speech recognition drafts for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
Verify patient demographics are accurate and complete.
Listen to dictated audio as needed to verify content and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure correct medical terminology, spelling, abbreviations, and clinical phrasing.
Apply organizational formatting standards and templates to all reports.
Identify and correct inconsistencies, missing information, or unclear sections.
Enter finalized reports into the EMR system with accurate patient matching.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy and documentation policies.
Communicate with physicians/team members when clarification or additional information is required.
