About The Position

The Transactional Auditor plays a crucial role by conducting a wide-range of audits, including audits of licensed operators to determine statutory and procedural compliance. The Level I is considered entry level of the job family where employees are primarily responsible for performing various routine audits, reviews, investigations or assisting in the completion of more complex audits or investigations as a member of an audit team. It also includes entry-level auditors who generally perform such work in a training status to build their skills in completing various types of audits and reviews.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern office methods and procedures, including computer technology related to accounting systems.
  • Ability to work with sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality with appropriate discretion.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, participating and assisting their peers.
  • Ability to be an active participant in the development and evaluation of program objectives and procedures.
  • Ability to review and analyze accounting records and business practices

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and verifies reports submitted by licensed operators and make necessary documentary and/or monetary adjustments.
  • Investigates relevant legal and policy issues.
  • Prepares audit reports documenting conclusions of audits and provides recommendations.
  • Resolves audits and brings licensed operators into compliance.
  • Identifies persistent error trends and reports those trends immediately to management.
  • Participates on a phone bank and answers phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
