About The Position

The Transaction Tax Manager is responsible for the Firm’s compliance and tax planning for transaction taxes. The role works with vendors, service providers, other tax professionals, the VP of Tax, the accounting department, and third-party service providers. This is a hybrid role, with approximately three days per week in the office in Plano, Texas, and two days per week working remotely.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Demonstrated hands-on approach and success working in a team-based environment.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access, and internet navigation and research.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or Certified Public Accountant license.
• Some experience in a public accounting firm.
• Workday software experience.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive team member experience.
• Manage the outsourced process for completing sales and use tax filings, unclaimed property filings, and VAT/GST tax returns, including related analysis and support.
• Assist accounting and outside CPAs with statutory audits of international subsidiaries.
• Monitor exemption certificates received and issued.
• Review tax paid on purchases and sales monthly.
• Reconcile taxes payable accounts monthly.
• Manage audits of state transaction tax and VAT/GST filings.
• Coordinate Pinpoint software sales and use tax maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned or designated.
