About The Position

The Transaction Project Manager III leads highly complex servicing transfer initiatives, including large-scale acquisitions, deconversions, and new client implementations, ensuring successful execution through strategic project leadership, risk management, and crossfunctional collaboration. This role serves as a subject matter expert and primary client liaison, driving project outcomes, overseeing data conversion activities, influencing implementation decisions, and ensuring operational, regulatory, and contractual compliance throughout the transfer lifecycle.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of mortgage servicing experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of project management experience required. Candidates with at least two (2) years of project management experience and six (6) or more years of mortgage servicing experience may be considered in lieu of the full project management requirement.
  • Advanced knowledge of mortgage servicing operations, servicing transfer process, investor requirements, regulatory considerations, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage large-scale, high-risk, and complex business initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and significant operational impact.
  • Strong analytical and critical thiking skills with the ability to evaluate complex business challenges, identifying root causes, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and discreiption in making decisions, resolving issues, and recommending solutions on matters that impact project outcomes, performance, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating resources across operations, technology, finance and client organizations to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, drive consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide functional leadership to peers and less experienced team members while serving as a subject matter expert within the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MSP, project management software such as Wrike, reporting applications, and data analysis platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet organizational deadlines, and multitask while maintaining departmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee complex, high-profile, and high-volume servicing transfer initiatives, including large scale acquisitions, deconversions, and new client implementations with significant operational, financial, regulatory, and customerimpact considerations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, current and prospective servicers, senior leadership, and third-party vendors, exercising independent judgement to resolve issues, negotiate solutions, and drive project outcomes.
  • Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive project strategies, timelines, governance frameworks, and deliverables to ensure successful project implementation and achievement of business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and facilitate executive and client-facing meetings, establishing priorities, directing activities, driving accountability, and making recommendations regarding project execution and risk mitigation.
  • Independently identify, assess, prioritize, and resolve project risks, operational challenges, and regulatory concerns, determining appropriate remediation strategies and escalating significant issues when necessary.
  • Evaluate project performance, operational readiness, and business impacts, making recommendations that influence implementation decisions, project scope, resource allocation, and strategic direction.
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter expert for servicing transfer operations, providing consultation and guidance to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders regarding transfer strategy, implementation, and risk management.
  • Lead data conversion and mapping initiatives in partnership with Loan Transfer Data Analysts, Operations, Compliance, and client stakeholders, determining requirements, validating solutions, and resolving complex data and process issues.
  • Exercise discretion in interpreting and adapting existing operational processes, developing customized solutions necessary to achieve project objectives while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
  • Conduct comprehensive post-transfer reviews and business analyses to identify trends, root causes, process gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement, presenting recommendations to leadership
