About The Position

JLL is seeking high-caliber professionals interested in launching or advancing their commercial real estate brokerage careers. This role involves managing and executing complex lease and/or capital transactions while fostering client relationships and driving business growth. The position is responsible for overseeing regular reporting, budgets, cash flow forecasts, memoranda documenting significant client issues, and strategic planning. The Senior Transaction Manager will work primarily in a leadership capacity on complex projects, functioning either independently or as part of a team, and will supervise the workload of Analysts and potentially other Transaction Managers. Additional responsibilities include directing special projects and assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will manage and collaborate with professionals across various disciplines and business units, demonstrating experience in successfully managing complex projects to completion, thinking strategically, acting proactively, fostering growth of junior talent and building strong client trust and confidence.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required
10-15 years of relevant work experience with at least 4-8 years as a Transaction Manager in commercial real estate
Proven transaction management experience with demonstrated skills in contract review and lease/purchase and sale negotiations
Experience working with corporate clients to achieve real estate objectives
Solid understanding of financial and accounting impacts
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Excellent negotiating, analytical, collaboration, organization/planning, and process management abilities
Strong ability to interpret and communicate business intelligence/data analytics
Outstanding client service skills
Proven ability to manage a team
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assume key transaction responsibilities for strategic clients
Provide advice on client transactions
Attend regular client meetings and conference calls
Improve client transaction management processes
Work directly with clients and team members to resolve financial model, transaction and landlord issues
Manage building tours with clients
Manage transaction reporting to the clients
Independently manage and execute complex, large, and mid-size transactions with high level of proficiency and knowledge
Deliver measurable value by negotiating favorable economic and flexible lease terms for clients
Collaborate with IT to customize reports, dashboards, and analytics specific to account team requirements
Assist clients in completing numerous transactions annually while adhering to JLL's and the client's processes and standards for expertise and professionalism
Actively monitor progress of assigned transactions and those of direct reports
Collect client requirements, obtain market data, review market reports, retain real estate broker partners nationally, oversee site selection and evaluation
Create requests for proposals (RFPs), negotiate letters of intent, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and prepare approval packages for client's senior management
Develop occupancy cost savings strategies, evaluate alternative occupancy solutions and financial structures, and refine existing transaction processes
Monitor and verify commission invoices for accuracy and payment status; maintain and ensure timely updates to the Dealio transaction tracking system
Coach and develop direct reports to reach their full potential
Lead a diverse team effectively
Foster the growth of junior talent
