About The Position

The Training & Workforce Development Specialist coordinates and implements The Well's workforce development and training program. This position serves as the primary coordinator for participant recruitment, training implementation, community partnerships, employer engagement, case management, grant compliance, and program evaluation. The Specialist works collaboratively with internal staff and community partners to build the behavioral health workforce while ensuring successful achievement of grant objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, workforce development, behavioral health, public health, human services, business, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in workforce development, training, education, project coordination, case management, community outreach, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and ability to learn required data systems.
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate implementation of workforce development activities in accordance with grant requirements and organizational priorities.
  • Manage day-to-day program operations, timelines, and participant activities.
  • Develop and maintain program materials, procedures, and resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness and participant outcomes.
  • Recruit, enroll, orient, and support eligible participants throughout the program.
  • Complete assessments and develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide case management, career coaching, and supportive services.
  • Monitor participant progress, maintain communication, and document outcomes.
  • Coordinate training schedules, instructors, materials, and participant communications.
  • Build relationships with employers, educational institutions, workforce agencies, and community organizations.
  • Represent The Well through outreach activities, presentations, and workforce development events.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, employment opportunities, and program marketing.
  • Ensure compliance with grant, federal, state, and organizational requirements, including SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) requirements.
  • Maintain participant records and required documentation.
  • Enter and maintain data in NEworks and other required reporting systems.
  • Assist with grant reporting, monitoring activities, performance measurement, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
