About The Position

The incumbent of this position will serve as a Training Technician (Office Automation) GS-1702-07 for Defense Health Agency Headquarters located at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Duties Perform difficult and responsible work in support of the organization’s automated systems training program. Prepare training agenda, handouts, charts and reports, as necessary. Prepare class rosters, graduation certificates, transcripts, relief/recycle packages and additional student status actions. Conduct formal and informal briefings for audiences, which include new staff and faculty, on topics related to customer services, training student management and organization procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is required to be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations/vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Skill of a qualified typist is required.
  • This position is designated as having regular and recurring contact with children under the age of 18 and is subject to requirements of DoDI 1402.05 and AR 600-78.
  • This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
  • US Citizens
  • One year of specialized experience which includes, assisting in the classroom scheduling for students; retrieving student and school data while producing a range of documents (i.e. calendars, catalogs, reports, spreadsheets, etc.); and assisting in developing training guidance to be distributed among students.
  • Qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
  • No substitution of education for experience is permitted.
