About The Position

SAL Community Services connects the community to services that ensure every child can succeed in school and life, and every adult has access to basic human needs like food, counseling, child care, and housing. We do this by listening, learning, and acting to help individuals and families navigate the barriers that prevent them from moving their life forward in a positive way. The Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator coordinates services for early childhood professionals for training, career enhancement and professional development within the service delivery area. Provides technical assistance and on-site consultation to early childcare and education providers. Oversees health and safety coaching staff and license exempt training activities. Administers provider services grants program and funds distribution in alignment with Illinois Department of Human Services guidance. You will: Responsible for coordination of provider training in alignment with Illinois Department of Human Services contract deliverables, including training required by the Child Care Development Block Grant. Identify qualified trainers and participants for regional training opportunities. Prepare and manage new trainer contracts and onboard new trainers as needed. Coordinate training facilitation schedule and facilitate trainings (on-site and off-site) as needed. Conduct assessment of provider training needs and utilize data to identify training to meet needs of childcare providers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following related fields (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education, Child Welfare, Family Services, Psychology, Sociology).
  • This position must obtain required background clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years of experience in ECE and/or CCR&R environment in addition to degree.
