Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, the Training Officer II (TO II) is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Staff Development Unit (SDU). The incumbent is responsible for supervising professional and analytical staff, overseeing the development and delivery of department-wide training programs, and ensuring alignment with DOR's mission to promote employment, independence, and equality for individuals with disabilities. The TO II is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and evaluating the DOR's statewide training program; responding to departmental in-service and outservice training needs and developing and implementing DOR's department's training policy in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. The incumbent is expected to report to the office at minimum 2 days per week, or more based on operational needs. Telework: Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent must live and work in California. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time.
