About The Position

The Training Manager is responsible for the end-to-end skills needs assessment execution, development of a plan, and facilitating implementation for management of all workforce training. This role ensures that both exempt and non-exempt employees possess the Process technical proficiency, Safety compliance, product Quality, and operational knowledge required to thrive in a high-volume solar cell manufacturing environment. This position delivers training leveraging internal and external expertise in a productive manner. You will serve as the primary architect for training plans, bridging the gap between current skill levels, and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Human Resource Management and/or Organizational Development
  • Manufacturing cross-functional training experience for more than 8 years
  • Multi-cultural work environment experience

  • Strong systems thinker and able to lead groups of people at different levels for training and capability building
  • High Performance team development (all levels)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify competency gaps across all facility levels.
  • Partner with managers, supervisors, and engineers to align training with plant KPIs and ISO standards.
  • Develop and maintain a facility-wide training plan that includes functional contribution training, specialized technical skills, and certifications.
  • Design and facilitate transition programs for new supervisors to ensure they understand production workflows and safety leadership.
  • Design and implement a 3-tier level program to train and develop 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level managers toward improved overall effectiveness.
  • Train management in coaching techniques, "train-the-trainer" best practices, and effective performance auditing.
  • Ensure leadership is updated on the latest OSHA regulations, ISO requirements, and Solar industry standards (awareness of product and process).
  • Frequently assess hands-on training for new hires.
  • Deliver assessments and review outcomes to improve training materials by partnering with Trainers to verify classroom understanding on the floor.
  • Identify gaps across shifts for exempt and non-exempt training compared to the site training plan.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready training registers and matrices using a Learning Management System (LMS) or equivalent.
  • Monitor training feedback and benchmark against Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to refine instructional or training materials.
  • Formulate, review, and implement BCP for ESF.
  • Establishment of a PDCA thought process.
  • Integrated Management System (IMS) compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 are integrated.
