About The Position

The La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology (LJI) offers a research training program for postdoctoral scientists who are US citizens or non-citizen permanent residents. This program provides training in immunological mechanisms related to the development and treatment of Autoimmune, Inflammatory, and Infectious Disease and Cancer. The program involves 21 faculty members from LJI whose expertise spans immune cell function in inflammatory diseases (e.g., diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, atherosclerosis, atopic dermatitis), infectious diseases (e.g., dengue, zika, cytomegalovirus, coronavirus, tuberculosis), and immunotherapy of cancer.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen, or a non-citizen national, or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence and possess an Alien Registration Receipt Card (1-151 or 1-551) or some other verification of legal admission as a permanent resident.
  • PhD, MD and MD/PhD scientists interested in basic and applied research of the immune system.
  • Commitment to pursue basic research training.
