We have a great opportunity for a Training Coordinator at Agri-Mark in Middlebury, VT. This is a brand-new position within this plant & company. Position will be days, however, could require some flexibility to check in with different operators on different shifts.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with ability to interact well with employees at all levels within the company as well as outside entities.
  • Ability to design and teach training programs both on the floor and in a classroom environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs while also helping to lead others through change.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in training, HR, operations, quality, or safety within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing strongly preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, facilitation, & implementation of various training programs to ensure safe, consistent and quality operation of various manufacturing equipment & processes by new & veteran employees.
  • Assist with workforce development programs & skill progression.
  • Support CI initiatives related to safety, quality & productivity by creating & implementing the change management process and/or procedural documentation (Flows, JBS’s, etc.) resulting from Corrective and/or Preventative Actions.
  • Work with operations leaders to standardize processes reducing variability & ensuring consistent execution. This will include developing & updating training materials, SOPs, work instructions, & visual aids.
  • Coordinate onboarding for employees beginning new positions & work with HR, EHS & QA to support orientation training for new hires, including safety, GMPs, food safety, and job-specific.
  • Maintain training schedules for all shifts, including overnight and weekend operations.
  • Work with leaders to assess and track training completion, certifications, and refresher requirements.
  • Audit training materials to ensure processes are being followed by all employees.
  • Support compliance with food safety regulations (FSMA, GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC as applicable).
  • Partner with QA & EHS to ensure training aligns with regulatory & audit requirements.
  • Assist during internal and external audits by providing training records and support.
  • Support cross-training and job qualification processes for production, packaging, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse roles.
  • Work with supervisors to identify training gaps and develop corrective training plans.
  • Facilitate classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training sessions.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
