About The Position

Central Valley Regional Center (CVRC) is a non-profit corporation partnering with the State of California Department of Developmental Services. CVRC provides case management and service coordination by identifying resources, programs and activities to refer individuals to in collaboration with other agencies to develop the best services for individuals served and their families. CVRC serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and children at risk to support and promote community inclusion. CVRC provides case management for individuals residing in the Central Valley, covering six counties that include Fresno, Tulare, Merced, Kings, Mariposa, and Madera This position is responsible for managing the learning management system (staff learning portal) and coordinating new employee orientation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years training experience in a similar role, or 3-year experience at CVRC, or any combination thereof.
  • Willingness to learn how to manage & administer a learning management system.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with others.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to use a variety of learning and training concepts and principles.
  • Strong computer and software application skills (word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, e-mail, e-learning).
  • Ability to utilize multimedia equipment in delivering presentations and training.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, sound judgment, flexibility, strong interpersonal, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have a valid CA driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LMS/learning portal and training (individuals and groups); organizing, facilitating and performing training sessions.
  • Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred.
  • Bilingual skills desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and maintains the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Maintains and operates various technologies used in the delivery of instructional and/or interactive programs and courses.
  • Adds and deactivates staff users in the LMS as notified by HR and manages the auto-enrollment and associated enrollment and due date notifications.
  • Monitors staff learner progress to ensure that they meet course requirements and due dates; maintain training enrollment and attendance records.
  • Assists in the creation and deployment of eLearning courses/modules and training tutorials and import training courses into LMS as assigned.
  • Provides LMS support to regional center staff, community members, and providers as issues arise including answering questions, providing advice, and troubleshooting, escalates more complex issues to Training Manager for resolution.
  • Coordinates with all departments in developing and implementing new employee orientation.
  • Promotes a positive experience for employees’ entry into the agency workforce.
  • Hosts orientation sessions (in person, virtual, occasionally hybrid).
  • Coordinate meetings, initiate collaboration and communicate orientation standards with all Service Coordinator Leads and CVRC mentors to ensure consistency of training of new employees.
  • Coordinates and maintains training schedules and maintains the agency’s training calendar.
  • Assists in the creation of content, supporting training programs, including sign-in rosters, presentations, materials, evaluations and surveys.
  • Provides support and guidance to staff on hosting virtual and in-person trainings and meetings to promote independent implementation of trainings.
  • Assists with internal & external trainings, special events and community events as needed.
  • Demonstrates commitment to agency policies and practices.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the Regional Center mandates, principles and philosophy.
  • Attends agency or state meetings and/or trainings to promote knowledge of Regional Center operations.
  • Supports effective and efficient business practice.
  • Maintains positive business relationships, confidentiality, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
