About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Training Coordinator to join its team in Oak Creek, WI. In this role, you will assist with the onboarding and initial training of new employees, ensuring a positive new hire experience. You will deliver ongoing group and individualized training on company and department policies, procedures, competencies, and Lab Information Systems. Additionally, you will develop and implement training resources, evaluate and update existing materials, and serve as a procedural and compliance resource. You will support leadership with quality and service metrics, assist with improvement plans for underperforming employees, and maintain accurate training logs. The role also involves assisting with workflow during high-volume periods and potentially supervising day-to-day operations and leading daily processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year or more of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to travel throughout territory for training purposes
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • 1 year or more experience of training or leading a team
  • 2 years or more experience in specimen processing in a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training.
  • Ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Provide on-going group and individualized training for purposes of work performance enhancement and general education.
  • Deliver training in the areas of company and department policies and procedures, department related competencies and Lab Information Systems.
  • Develop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectives.
  • Evaluate and update existing training materials and plans.
  • Serve as a procedural and compliance resource for department employees.
  • Support leadership with their goals in relation to quality and service metrics.
  • Assist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employees.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records for all trainings conducted.
  • Provide training with respect and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist with the workflow during times of high volume or when coverage is needed.
  • Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the department.
  • Assist in leading the team in their daily processes and procedures.
