About The Position

The Training and Compliance Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for all staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards within the airport and aviation industry. This role regularly reviews and updates training materials to align with evolving regulations and best practices, conducts audits and assessments to verify compliance with internal policies and external regulatory bodies, and addresses identified gaps or areas for improvement. The Training and Compliance Manager collaborates closely with various departments to identify training needs, develop tailored programs that enhance employee performance, ensure passenger safety, and foster a culture of continuous learning and compliance awareness across the organization.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of training experience
  • Several years of management or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry
  • Ability to lead a team of trainers and manage performance and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices such as iPads/tablets, computers, and mobile devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal, as applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of training programs for all employees, ensuring compliance with airport regulations and service standards
  • Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Create and update training materials and manuals to reflect current industry practices and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars for various departments
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements as needed
  • Ensure all employees receive mandatory training required for compliance with national and international aviation standards
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections to identify deviations from required standards
  • Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures to address non-compliance issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and compliance records for audit purposes
  • Collaborate with management and operational teams to integrate training and compliance initiatives into daily operations
  • Stay informed of changes in legislation and industry standards impacting airport operations
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and compliance awareness among employees
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors during compliance reviews and audits
  • Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related matters
  • Lead and manage the training and compliance team, including goal setting and performance evaluation
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
