About The Position

This is a telework/hybrid position. The candidate of choice may work from anywhere within the state of Washington with a reliable internet connection. Travel may be required. As a Training and Information Analyst (Human Resource Consultant 2) in the Training and Development Unit, you’ll play an important role in ensuring employees across the Washington State Department of Corrections have access to accurate, timely, and effective training that supports both their success and the safety of our communities. As the Training and Information Analyst, you will support training delivery, data integrity, and administration of the state learning management system through the configuration of courses, managing assignments, monitoring compliance, and maintaining documentation for online, virtual, and instructor-led training programs. The candidate of choice will monitor agency-wide assignments for accuracy, serve as a resource for the TDU help desk staff, and provide elevated support to training stakeholders. You’ll ensure user profiles contain up-to-date information, allowing employees and leaders to easily access the training resources they need. The Training and Information Analyst also plays a key role in ensuring DOC training remains aligned with state laws, RCWs, WACs, executive orders, DOC policies, and external agency requirements. Through careful attention to detail, data integrity, and responsive customer service, this position helps create an environment built on integrity, trust, and continuous learning. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least two years experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • At least two years experience managing data in Microsoft Excel with intermediate proficiency
  • At least one year experience providing customer service and support for end users
  • At least one year experience in a learning management system
  • At least one year experience preparing and presenting information to stakeholders

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Administration
  • Experience using Microsoft Access
  • Experience working with data and information from multiple sources
  • Experience interpreting policy and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining complex activities
  • Monitoring audience status and assigned/associated learning activities
  • Maintaining audience catalogs
  • Understanding, building, and updating audiences
  • Functioning as a subject matter expert in activity configurations
  • Applying system tools such as notifications and fulfillments
  • Reviewing data to identify issues or trends
  • Applying Microsoft tools (Excel, Access) and internal software (HRMS, Active Directory, EasyVista, STATIS) to identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies for resolution in the Learning Center
  • Developing procedures and reference materials to mitigate potential risk
  • Defining organizational processes and procedures to guide improvements that impact strategic decisions
  • Identifying program processes for improvements and collaborate with appropriate stakeholder
  • Identifying, researching, developing and documenting process improvements within TDU and TIMT
  • Policy and Annual In-Service - to use as criteria to generate training assignments
