About The Position

This position is remote and part of the Health Care Professional (HCP) Local Education team, which is a shared service medical education team for the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health OU’s at Medtronic. The Training & Education Specialist is a trusted consultant who is aligned to the OU strategic plans and provides bold education solutions that helps drive therapy adoption and delivers results for the OU/business. In this role, you will be responsible for executing local HCP education programs. You will play an integral role in supporting the local education strategy while collaborating with Regional Education Managers and sales teams. This role will require 50% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience in a clinical lab setting, clinical training, field sales/support in medical device, healthcare industry or equivalent experience (OR Associate's Degree with 4+ years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree with 2+ years experience).
  • Medical device industry experience

  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages local HCP education programs across the United States.
  • Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
  • Manages a breadth of HCP education offerings: both HCP faculty led courses and Medtronic led Product Workshops; Didactic training (in-person, hybrid, virtual); Hands-On training (cadaveric or dry demo); Brick & mortar lab facilities, in hospitals or surgery centers, restaurants, hotels.
  • Manages Customer Experience Programs, which are promotional programs that allow customers to interact with our OU experts and leaders & highlight the benefits and features of approved technology. This can include hands-on product demonstrations and tours of Medtronic facilities.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners including physician faculty, sales leaders, and Operating Unit leaders.
  • Builds/maintains positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels.
  • Coordinates in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines.
  • Incorporating program management best practices in all aspects of work.
  • Ensure all timelines and deadlines are met to deliver successful program execution.
  • Extensive direct, face to face customer contact and interaction.
  • Must thrive in a fast paced, nimble environment while maintaining high workloads.
  • Flexibility to Travel - Travel approximately 50% of the time.
