About The Position

The Training & Development Business Partner, DS/BI Residential Services is responsible for the creation and management of trainings within the Developmental and Brain Injury Residential Services divisions. They assess training needs and develop new trainings to meet the needs of the division. This role is fully in person. Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm with some flexibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Services or other related field and minimum of five years experience in the Developmental Services/Brain Injury Services fields.
  • Superior public speaking skills and ability to conduct workshops and trainings.
  • Must have sensitivity to the needs of the population.
  • Must have strong computer skills. High-level experience with Microsoft Office- PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.
  • Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain training calendar for the service line. Schedule and coordinate facilitators, locations, and topics for trainings, including the monthly manager’s management meetings.
  • Manage and develop overall implementation of new and ongoing training and development initiatives/programs based on divisional needs.
  • Provide summary reports to service line management team, determining impact of training to program staff and establish future training needs/goals.
  • Co-facilitate trainings with the Clinical Directors within the service line.
  • Meet with the service line VP at least monthly to report on training initiatives and review division needs.
  • Participate in needs analysis for developing training strategies, track and evaluate training performance.
  • Mentor managers, direct support staff and people we support to become trainers.
  • Write and facilitate workshop proposals for presentation at local and national conferences.
  • Ensure all training related activities are within authorized budgets.
  • Attend all divisional leadership meetings as required
  • Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights Policy.

  • Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Strictly follow all agency performance standards.
