About The Position

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Trainer. This role involves providing hands-on training for the NextGen EHR and EPM application software to physicians, clinical staff, and medical/clerical staff. The trainer will optimize end-user efficiency, streamline workflows, and develop user guides, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include cross-training, troubleshooting, collaborating with staff and leadership, staying updated on application releases, and participating in system upgrades and testing. The position is based in Layton Parkway, with standard Monday-Friday hours, but may require occasional evening and weekend work.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Two years clinical care experience for EHR trainer.
Two years clinic support (reception, billing, scheduling) experience for EPM trainer.
Proficient with electronic health record systems (clinical or practice management) in a healthcare setting with an excellent understanding of clinical language.
Extensive knowledge of computer programs and computer hardware.
Knowledge of computer programming principles and techniques.
Skill in assisting a variety of users on computer applications and programs.
Skill in effective interpersonal skills and customer support methods.
Ability to clearly explain computer applications and programs in simple, user-friendly ways.
Ability to effectively interact with all employees at all levels of computer understanding.
Ability to be well organized and prioritize effectively.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on training of the NextGen EHR application software to physicians and clinical staff.
Provide EHR expertise in order to optimize the efficiency for the end users and streamline the clinicians' workflow.
Develop user guides, policies and procedures and reference materials that are clinically relevant to the practice.
Provide hands-on training of the NextGen EPM application software to medical and clerical staff, with specific focus on reception and scheduling processes.
Provide on-going training and auditing to all reception staff to ensure accurate check-in for our patients and compliance to intended process outcomes.
Provide EPM expertise in order to optimize the efficiency for the end users and streamline clerical workflow.
Develop user guides, policies and procedures and reference materials that are relevant to the individual non-clinical departments using EPM.
Provide troubleshooting related to individual end-user issues.
Collaborate regularly with staff and leadership on ways to achieve more efficient, effective and applicable workflow and outcomes.
Stay up-to-date on application releases and enhancements.
Participate in all system upgrades, fixes, and enhancements (software and hardware related).
Participate in the system testing process for new functionality or system upgrades.
Other duties as assigned.
