Requirements

  • Successful completion of a state approved training program and current certification in medication administration in state(s) in which he/she practices.
  • Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in state(s) in which he/she practices.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Responsibilities

  • The Trained Medication Assistant is responsible for the provision of high quality care and services to Care Center residents consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices.
  • The Trained Medication Assistant administers medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a nurse and performs Resident Assistant responsibilities as assigned.
