The Cottage Fergus Falls is seeking to hire a full-time Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) to provide compassionate long-term care for our elderly assisted living residents. Requirements

TMA Certification
Ability to pass a background check.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Must meet and maintain State requirements of a certified home health aide.
Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma.
Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own work load in a busy environment.
Some independent actions are required.
Knowledge of resident care plans, and state home care regulations.
Ability to communicate well with residents and families promoting customer service and respect.
Must maintain a calm and warm working environment with co-workers.

Completion of on-site orientation program will be given to obtain desired entry level competency.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders or assist with meals, light housekeeping, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, errands, and appointments.
Provide companionship and socialization, supporting residents in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies.
Ensure residents are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished, encouraging independence and promoting family involvement.
Report any changes or concerns promptly.
Assist the licensed nurse in the delivery of resident care.
Provide medically oriented task(s) to maintain health or to facilitate treatment of an illness or injury provided in a person's place of residence.
Report Vulnerable Adult issues to their director supervisor as necessary.
Visit with residents routinely regarding cares, activities, menus, likes and dislikes etc.
Offer resolution or a visit from the appropriate individual who may offer resolution to any dislikes or concerns and communicates those with direct supervisor.
Ensure any grievance is documented and reported to either the Assisted Living Manager or facility RN.
Incorporate customer-oriented approach into daily routine.
Maintain resident's confidentiality and respect according to HIPPA and Resident Rights.
