Train Service - Conductor Trainees
About The Position
Lake State Railway Company (LSRC) is seeking applicants for Train Service - Conductor Trainees. Conductor Trainees will receive on-the-job training, which will include both classroom and field work. The training to become a Certified Conductor is approximately 4 months from the employment start date. Once certified as a Conductor, the employee will be placed on a seniority list to eventually become dual qualified as a Certified Engineer. Becoming dual qualified is a condition of employment for the Train Service position. The next approximate start date for a Conductor Trainee class is to be determined. This is a safety-sensitive position and will be subject to drug and alcohol FRA random screening.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete a 4-month training program to become a Certified Conductor.
- Must become dual qualified as a Certified Engineer.
- Must be subject to drug and alcohol FRA random screening.
